Job Summary:

Incarnation Church is an Anglican church plant founded in Williamsburg, Va. in 2013. We are a member of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic of the Anglican Church in North America. We are currently meeting in the Williamsburg Regional Library at 10:15 AM on Sundays. We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pastor with a deep abiding faith. A person committed to personal, corporate, and healing prayer, dedicated to the deep study and teaching of the Holy Scriptures, enthusiastic in Christ-centered liturgical worship, open and responsive to the Holy Spirit, and committed to growing our community of faith.

• Embrace our calling and lead us in our mission
• Make God’s love known and visible in the Williamsburg area
• Develop—with the Vestry—a shared vision for the future direction of our church
• Enthusiastically preach the Gospel of Christ and help develop and sustain a Gospel-centered culture
• Communicate the Scriptures through teaching and worship
• Lead church and liturgical calendar services
• Provide a balanced focus between pastoral care and outreach ministries
• Engage with William & Mary students and grow their involvement in our ministries
• Model hospitality within the church and our community
• Promote and grow our small group tradition with biblically-based studies
• Support the healing prayer ministry
• Foster the development of a vibrant adult education program
• Advocate the further development of children and youth ministry programs
• Work with the Vestry and future search committees to hire a Music and Worship Director and locate a permanent place of worship

• Deep relationship with Jesus, undergirded by prayer and demonstrated in practical ways
• Believes the Holy Scriptures to be the true, authentic, and inspired Word of God
• Follows the lead of the Holy Spirit with personal integrity and spiritual maturity
• Heart for discipling and cultivating spiritual development in others
• Demonstrates potential to grow churches with structure and organizational skills
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Exhibits effective communication
• Effectively collaborates and empowers staff and laity
• Experienced in growing outreach with unchurched and underserved populations
• Embraces contemporary and traditional elements of worship through liturgy, weekly communion, music, and service
• Experienced and ordained Priest in the Anglican Church of North America (or eligible to be received into the ACNA as a priest)
• United States Citizen (or permanent resident eligible for employment)
