Safeguarding Our Children

The safeguarding of our children is the responsibility of every congregation and diocese in the Anglican Church in North America.

In 2018, the Executive Committee of the Anglican Church in North America requested that work begin to create a sample document and resource library to assist local congregations and dioceses. This sample is not a suggested or required policy, as we do not seek (and do not have the canonical and legal authority) to mandate such systems for each diocese. But we do commend this sample for thoughtful and serious consideration as it represents the thoughts and amalgamations of some excellent practices already in use across our province. The sample policy was received by the Provincial Council in June of 2021.
