At its inception, the Anglican Church in North America established a Risk Management Task Force to deal with the wide variety of challenges parishes face keeping their people, buildings, and leadership safe. After more than a year of careful investigation, the Task Force is making available the MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training as a preferred provider. A five part system, the program includes policies, procedures and an online training program with record keeping. It supports the needs of either parishes or dioceses. Individual parishes within our Province have already piloted the program.
In addition to MinistrySafe, the Task Force has already secured the following programs available to all parishes and dioceses in the Province and any of our Ministry Partners or Mission Societies:

- The Anglican Church in North America Retirement Program was built for the needs of parishes and their staff, clergy and lay. The cost of operating the fund is among the lowest in the nation. - Insurance coverage for buildings, liability, and leadership risk were developed for parishes with and without buildings for this period of growth as a province. The Task Force has also established the Anglican Risk Management Association, ARMA, as a registered purchasing group to pool purchasing power and provide for the church’s liability and property insurance needs.
The Task Force is comprised of lay leaders who are active in parishes and experienced in their respective fields. They give their time and talent so that Anglican parishes have the best products to protect their congregations.
