Job Description: Church Facilities Manager

SCOPE

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming church campus through hands-on custodial work, maintenance, and event logistics. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Custodial: Daily cleaning of sanctuary, offices, and classrooms; operate floor buffers.
Maintenance: Perform “handyman” repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) and monitor HVAC systems.
Events: Lead physical setup and teardown for services, weddings, and special events.
Grounds: Manage lawn care, landscaping, and general exterior upkeep.
Safety: Oversee building security and ensure fire/safety inspections are current.
QUALIFICATIONS

Technical: Proficient with maintenance tools and digital apps (Gmail, Slack, Planning Center).
Physical: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and stay active throughout the shift.
Experience: Proven background in custodial, maintenance, or a related trade. Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical is a plus.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Full time salary (45 hours) to be determined based on relevant experience and budget
Sunday is considered a work day (Sabbath is subjective to the employees desire).

Monthly cell phone reimbursement ($50)

The successful completion of a criminal background check and Child Protection Certification is required prior to employment.
