THE CHALLENGE
For the 2022 Contest the Archbishop invites entrants to submit an essay telling how the church can effectively deal with controversial social issues of the day, while being true to the gospel and remaining loving to the people?” These topics could relate to but are not limited to the following:- Self-adopted sexual identity
- Critical Race Theory
- Censoring or canceling people
- Group-think
- Tolerating criminal behavior
- Abortion as birth control
WHO MAY ENTER
The Clergy Category is open to ACNA priests and deacons. The Lay Category is open to lay persons who are active members of an ACNA church.PRIZES

All winners will receive a trophy and a letter of commendation from the Archbishop. First Place essays will be published at the ACNA website and as free digital downloads at anglicanhousepublishers.org. Other winners may be selected for publication as well.

The contest will be judged in the blind by a panel of Anglican House board members and authors.METHODOLOGY
Submissions will be assigned a numeric code to facilitate the blind judging process.
CRITERIA
Essays will be judged on these points:
- Insights
- Balance
- Clarity
- Feasibility
DEADLINE
6:00 p.m. EST August 31, 2022. Winners will be announced not later than November 30, 2022.
SUBMISSIONS
Essays must be submitted as Word documents not exceeding 2,500 words. Click on ESSAY CONTEST at anglicanhousepublishers.org for the Contest Rules. Submission before the absolute deadline is encouraged to avoid swamping the judging process.
