Bishop Herzog has faithfully served over 50 years in pastoral ministry. He became the eighth Diocesan Bishop in the Diocese of Albany in 1998 where he served until 2007. Bishop Herzog and his wife, Carol, have since continued to minister in the State of of New York in many capacities.

The Anglican Diocese of the Living Word shares more about Bishop Herzog below:

A statement regarding the Right Reverend Daniel W. Herzog

It is our great pleasure to announce that the Right Reverend Daniel W.
Herzog has joined the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word. The Most
Reverend Foley Beach has received Bishop Herzog as a retired bishop
in the Anglican Church in North America. Bishop Julian Dobbs has
welcomed Bishop Dan into our midst and looks forward to the
ministry, wisdom, and participation that he and his wife, Carol, bring to
our diocese.

Bishop Herzog was ordained to the priesthood in 1971 and consecrated
as a Coadjutor-Bishop in 1997. In 1998 he began his term of Ministry
as the eighth Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Albany. He retired in
2007, and later assisted his successor, the Right Reverend William Love,
overseeing parish revitalizations and serving as the Director of the
Ministry of Healing and Spiritual Formation at Christ the King Spiritual
Life Center. His most recent assignment was at St Augustine’s Parish
in Ilion, NY. He and his wife Carol have been married for 56 years and
are blessed with five children and fourteen grandchildren.

Bishop Herzog’s extensive experience is a tremendous blessing to the
Church and we anticipate that the Anglican Diocese of the Living
Word will benefit greatly from his ministry as he serves in his episcopal
capacity.

“Almighty God, who by your Son Jesus Christ gave many
excellent gifts to your holy Apostles, and charged them to feed
your flock: Give your grace to all Bishops, the pastors of your
Church, that they may diligently preach your Word, duly
administer your Sacraments, and wisely provide godly discipline;
and grant to your people that they may obediently follow them,
so that all may receive the crown of everlasting glory; through
the merits of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.”
