College Consents to Election of Suffragan Bishop

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the College of Bishops of the Anglican Church in North America consented to the election of the Rev. Dr. Brian Wallace as Suffragan Bishop for The Diocese For the Sake of Others (C4SO).

Executive director of the Fuller Center for Spiritual Formation since 2015, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wallace holds a doctorate in missiology from Fuller and is a priest in the Diocese of C4SO. He spent 11 years as a pastor in Austin, Texas, and 19 years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, largely as regional director for Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Brian has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 38 years and the couple has three adult children and five grandchildren. Brian is an avid Red Sox fan, coffee drinker, and music lover.

Wallace expressed his gratitude saying, “I am deeply grateful to have been received by the College of Bishops. It is humbling, and I receive the invitation with the awareness of God’s pervasive grace that has overwhelmed my whole life.”

The Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America, shared: “I appreciated hearing Bishop-elect Brian’s testimony this week, and look forward to seeing how God will use him in this next season of ministry.”
