In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastation, it is heartening to see ACNA congregations, like Church of Our Savior (Johns Island, South Carolina), stepping up in partnership with Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) to help other ACNA congregations who have been severely effected, like St. Andrew’s Church (Edneyville, North Carolina).
According to an ARDF Facebook post, they connected Church of Our Savior with Father Gerald of St. Andrew’s after their church was badly damaged by the flood, rains, and mud, “…the brown house with the green roof on its side is their Youth Building that floated down the street about 1/4 mile up the road. You can see where it was on their property in the aerial view.”
Supplies are also being collected in another partnership with a nearby Baptist church to care for others affected by the hurricane in their community–Christ’s body in action.
