Church of the Resurrection is an Anglican congregation seeking a reliable, relational, and dedicated Children’s Minister/Pastor to join our team. This part-time role is ideal for someone looking for supplemental income who also has passion & experience in children’s ministry and community development. We’re looking for someone with a heart for children’s spiritual growth and a motivation to engage with families, volunteers, and the broader church community. The role requires in-person availability on Sunday mornings from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM on-site. Weekday hours are flexible, with occasional evening and weekend commitments to support church programs and events. This is a part-time salaried position, 10-15 hours per week, with a starting salary of $18,000 ($1,500/month).

Key Responsibilities :

Administration & Coordination (approx. 2 hours/week)
Coordinate volunteers’ staffing and scheduling and ensure all the teaching materials is prepared and set up for every Sunday
Maintain resources, supplies, and equipment necessary for programs
Plan age-appropriate activities for children, for major events in the church calendar year (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.)
Training & Teaching (approx. 4-5 hours/week)
Recruit, train, and support a team of congregational volunteers to assist in teaching and leading activities
Step in to lead children services if and when volunteers are unavailable
Ensure all activities, policies, and procedures follow safety and child protection guidelines.
Relationship Building (approx. 4-5 hours/week)
Foster strong relationships with children, their parents, and be invested in supporting their spiritual journeys both in and outside of church.
Collaborate with Rector, deacons & lay leaders to integrate children’s programming into the life of the church.

Qualifications:

A passion for integrating creativity and play in children’s exploration of faith, or past experiences in children’s ministry programming that demonstrates child-centered and play-based curricula
Experience in children’s ministry, education, or a related field (paid or volunteer)
A lively Christian faith and curiosity in the mission of Rez as a church body
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and church staff
Willingness to be proactive and openness to work in a lean and adaptable organizational environment
Must pass a background check (such as Live Scan).
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience coordinating and supporting a team of volunteers (in or outside of church settings)
Bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Previous experiences in Godly Play®, Worship & Wonder, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd® or similar faith formation programs is a plus
