Website St. Peter's Anglican Cathedral
St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral is an Anglican congregation of Christ-followers seeking to reach one another, Tallahassee, and the world with the transforming love of Jesus Christ. We are biblically based and deeply rooted in the historic understanding of the faith once delivered to the saints. We believe this faith is relevant more than ever in our modern world and continues to change lives, starting with our own. We serve as the cathedral church of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the Anglican Church in North America. With many different ministry areas operating throughout the year, the cathedral staff partners with hundreds of volunteers to raise up new leaders for the Church.
The Pastoral Curacy was created in 2015 for the purpose of giving a recently ordained priest (or postulant) an opportunity to transition from seminary to parish ministry with the goal of being spiritually formed and practically prepared for Anglican ministry in the ACNA. Over the course of two years, the curate works closely with a priest/supervisor at St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral. The curate is involved in every aspect of parish ministry and also participates in a formation program.
The Pastoral Curate will work under the direct supervision of one of St. Peter’s Cathedral Canons. In the course of this curacy, the Pastoral Curate will also be assigned pastoral and liturgical responsibilities within the life of the cathedral. The Pastoral Curate will also have the opportunity for an immersive and mentored experience in ordained ministry with a focus on pastoral care.
