About St. Timothy’s Anglican Church
St. Timothy’s Anglican church is a small church located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Our congregation is made up of a diverse mixture of urban, rural and military families. Our parish is made up of approximately 60 members. There is an average attendance of between 35 and 40 at our 10 AM worship service on Sunday mornings.
The congregation at St. Timothy’s just completed a Re-Visioning process to help the church focus on what is needed in the way of mission and ministry, in the church and in the Hardin County community. The leadership in the congregation will be focusing on four core areas:
1. Update Music Style.
2. Youth Programs and Activities.
3. Church and Community Education and Assistance Programs.
4. Change the World for Christ (A Bold Vision)
We want to dream big, not necessarily grow big, but finding ways to spread the gospel to our community and to help meet people’s needs in that community. We want to be a witness to all for the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are looking for a Rector who can help us to not be focused internally on ourselves but to be externally focused on our mission to the community and the world.
St. Timothy’s, with all of our strengths and challenges, is poised and ready to grow and move forward our motto is “Gather, Grow and Go”. We prayerfully and faithfully look to call a new rector to join us on the adventure that is our future.
Due to our size and financial restraint we are looking to call a bi-vocational priest as our rector. It is our desire to employ a full-time rector in the future once we have grown and are financially capable of doing so.
Currently St. Timothy’s Anglican Church can provide a total compensation package for our new bi-vocational Rector of approximately $32,000 per year. We do feel that it is important that the new rector reside in the Elizabethtown/Hardin County community. Saint Timothy’s would be able to assist in the relocation cost.
