Allison and I continue to give thanks for your prayers for the Anglican Church in North America. It is remarkable work that we see as we visit churches and dioceses around the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Thank you for your faithfulness!
As we end this calendar year, I want to remind you of something that lies close to my heart: the mission of Always Forward and the significance of church planting within the Anglican Church in North America. Our Lord Jesus came to us, and we are to go out into the world.
From the very inception of our province, church planting has been our cornerstone and our beacon for a thriving future. As your Archbishop, I embraced this legacy entrusted to me by my predecessor, Archbishop Duncan, and committed myself wholeheartedly to advancing our church planting efforts. Over the past nine years, Always Forward has been unwavering in its dedication to cultivate church planting movements across our dioceses.
I’m profoundly grateful for the efforts of my Provincial Canon for Church Planting, The Rev Canon Dr. Dan Alger, and the entire team at Always Forward. Together, they have been steadfast in their support of our dioceses, assessing, equipping, and coaching church planters. In the past year alone, they have trained and prepared sixty-five passionate church planters for their essential missions across diverse regions. Just this September, they hosted our annual conference in Greensboro, NC, uniting over a hundred individuals committed to church planting, inspiring and encouraging them.
We have witnessed that church planting is essential to our Provincial growth and vitality. It is simply amazing to see all the new places of worship that have been started even in my tenure as Archbishop.
I am asking for your generous support of provincial initiatives like Always Forward. Their work depends on the generosity of people like you who care deeply about the work of the Anglican Church in North America. We need to raise $185,000 by fiscal year end (which is June 30th 2024) to fully provide for great ministries like Always Forward.
