Last week, the ACNA’s Executive Committee affirmed the canonical status of seven official Ministry Partners who provide a special or dedicated ministry service on behalf of the Province. The ACNA has always identified certain organizations as Ministry Partners; however those relationships have not always been clearly defined. This new formal designation, drawn from our canons, seeks to clarify a number of mutual benefits for these external partnerships to amplify and extend the good work God is doing across the ACNA and the world.
The seven organizations officially recognized as Ministry Partners include: The American Anglican Council (AAC), Anglican House Publishers (AHP), Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF), Forward in Faith North America (FiFNA), Matthew 25 Initiative, New Wineskins, and Trinity Anglican Seminary. All ACNA Ministry Partners must meet specific canonical criteria. They work in close collaboration with the Archbishop and Provincial leadership to advance the ACNA’s mission to reach all of North America with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

The AAC is committed to resourcing healthy church leaders who lead healthy churches who in turn fulfill the Great Commission through a healthy province and Communion. The AAC builds up and defends Great Commission Anglicanism in North America and worldwide through:
-
Developing Healthy Leaders with: Anglican Leadership Ministries
-
Equipping Healthy Churches with: Anglican Revitalization Ministries
-
Supporting Healthy Governance with: Anglican Governance Ministries

AHP’s central task has been to publish The Book of Common Prayer (2019) under their Anglican Liturgy Press imprint. They publish a variety of other books and resources for Anglicans in addition to official ACNA publications.
Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) connects Anglican churches with resources as they meet the needs of their communities, expanding the Kingdom of Christ through tangible acts of compassion in their contexts. ARDF is the silent partner in the background, supporting the local church to encourage families and communities with practical help and solid solutions through a living Gospel that feeds body, soul, and spirit.
Founded in 2004 with the support of then Bishop Robert Duncan, ARDF consciously adopted an organizational model intended to strengthen international relationships based on mutual respect and a shared faith in Jesus Christ. To achieve this end, a board of Archbishops leads ARDF. Representing orthodox Anglican Provinces in the Global South, they are crucial in determining priorities, approving large development grants, and keeping ARDF firmly linked to the local church.
Forward in Faith North America is the Catholic voice of Anglicanism in North America. They worship God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, living and proclaiming the Catholic Faith as received in the Anglican tradition.
Forward in Faith North America exits to embody and teach the faith and order of the undivided Church, so that we all may be one (John 17:11).
Matthew 25 Initiative exists to equip and sustain Anglicans serving alongside the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized. They work toward a vision of an Anglican expression of healthy justice and mercy in every parish across North America. They serve laypeople, clergy, and ministry leaders with biblically grounded, Anglican-informed tools, training, and resources to strengthen church-based outreach—ensuring it is spiritually sustainable, practically effective, and theologically rich.
Matthew 25 Initiative structures their work around 5 core needs they consistently hear from parishes:
- Biblical Vision & Practical Formation
- Church-Based Outreach That Works
- Coaching, Consulting, & Strategic Convening
- Leadership Development for Outreach Contexts
- Spiritual Formation & Soul Care
New Wineskins is a nonprofit ministry that works as the global missions mobilizing arm of the ACNA. New Wineskins has four main ministry areas for equipping Anglicans for global missions: Partners, Conferences, Resources, and Mission Networks. New Wineskins Anglican Partners (formerly AGMP) is made up of 30 Anglican missional ministries and a Global Missions Advocate from almost all of the ACNA dioceses.
The upcoming New Wineskins Global Missions Conference Hope for the Nations, Sept. 17-20, is one of the largest Anglican mission-equipping international and intergenerational conferences in the world.
New Wineskins Resources include the Litany for Missions, and the Anglican Introduction to Missions curriculum as well as loads of resources to help congregations highlight World Missions Sunday, coming up Feb. 8, 2026. Finally, New Wineskins Mission Networks bring people together around important topics like human trafficking, persecution, healing and prayer, and more. Through these four areas, and through collaboration with ACNA congregations, dioceses, Anglican Partners, and partnerships with Anglicans all over the world, New Wineskins helps the ACNA stay engaged with fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus to reach the more than 2 billion people who still have no hope of salvation and eternal life.
Trinity Anglican Seminary is located in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. In 1975, Bishop Alf Stanway, who had been consecrated in Westminster Abbey and served in East Africa, moved from Australia to Pennsylvania as the first Dean and President of what was then called Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry.
Fifty years later, over one thousand Trinity graduates serve around the country and across the world, many of whom were pivotal in the formation of the ACNA. In recent years, Trinity redesigned its MDiv curriculum to specifically meet the prerequisites for ordination in the ACNA’s Constitution and Canons and changed its name to Trinity Anglican Seminary.
